Location:
All Mermaid Surf programs meet on the beach at Wrightsville Beach, Public Access #36 or #40.

Parking:
Mermaid Surf School provides FREE parking for the following programs:

Private Surf Lessons
For all other surf programs, you are required to park in designated public parking spaces. Please note payment requirements in all public parking spaces.
Preparing for your session:
Please be ready for your surf session 5-minutes before your designated start time.
Don't forget to pack water, sunscreen, a towel, and shoes (the sand can get extremely hot).
What to wear:
We recommend wearing a tight-fitting and comfortable bathing suit. A one-piece is suggested. A tight-fitting two piece will work great as well. Rashguards are optional and they are not provided.
Wetsuit options are suggested from October-May. Wetsuits are NOT provided.

Are surfboards provided?

Coach Kelly will meet you at your designated surf program location. See your confirmation email for more details.
All sessions begin with a pre-surf Mermaid Mobility flow and Mermaid Mindset session to get your body & mind ready for an empowering and fun surf session. You will receive dry-land surf instruction based on your surf skills and goals. Then you will enjoy a safe and supportive surf experience!
Weather and surf conditions:
Safety and a positive surf experience is my top priority. Mermaid Surf School will send you a cancellation notification via text in case I need to cancel your session. The weather and surf conditions can change unexpectedly and quickly. I will use my best judgement to keep our students safe and stoked. Please see our "policies" page for more information about cancellations and rescheduling.
